- Nepal Support
We continue to support communities in Nepal with the active involvement of our employees, guided by our corporate philosophy: “As merchants of MARUSHIN, we weave a better future with a spirit of challenge and enrich lives around the world.”
By working directly with local communities, thinking together, and taking action, we gain valuable experiences that broaden our perspectives beyond our business. We believe that the accumulation of these small efforts helps build meaningful and lasting relationships with society.
Looking ahead, we will continue listening carefully to local needs and exploring how Marushin can contribute to improving the living and educational environment for children in Nepal. Through these initiatives, we aim to help create communities where people can grow and build a better future for themselves.
From One Idea to a Brighter Future.

we have gained through our ongoing commitment to making a positive difference.
We visited orphanages and schools across Nepal, where we spent time interacting with local children and learning about their daily lives.
During our visits, we spoke with teachers and local staff to better understand the educational environment and living conditions. We learned about challenges such as aging school facilities, shortages of learning materials, and unequal access to education. We also witnessed the reality that many children face difficulties in receiving a quality education due to financial hardship.
As part of our educational support efforts, we donated school supplies, including notebooks and pencils, and organized learning activities with the children. We also introduced simple Japanese greetings, as well as aspects of Japanese culture and everyday life, creating opportunities for cultural exchange and shared learning.
Beyond studying, we spent time playing games and talking with the children, whose bright smiles and positive attitudes left a lasting impression on us. These experiences reminded us that educational support is about more than providing supplies—it is about expanding children’s opportunities for the future and building meaningful human connections.
Through our continued visits and support, we remain committed to helping create an environment where every child can learn with confidence and grow with hope for the future.
To help create a safe and supportive environment for children, we donated clothing, daily necessities, and children’s goods to orphanages and schools in Nepal.
Driven by the desire to "start with what we can do," each employee brings in usable household items from home to deliver to children in the affected areas.
During our visits, we saw firsthand how children live with limited resources and came to understand that the lack of essential everyday items can have a significant impact on their learning, well-being, and overall development.
Seeing the children’s joy as they received the donated items and watching them play with bright smiles was deeply rewarding for all of us. These moments reinforced the importance of supporting not only education but also the daily lives that make learning and healthy growth possible.
By continuing to listen carefully to local needs, we remain committed to helping create an environment where children can grow up healthy, secure, and full of hope.
Marushin is committed to providing ongoing financial support to orphanages and schools in Nepal.
Through our annual visits, we have come to understand that helping children live and learn with confidence requires continuous support—not only for daily living and education, but also for the costs associated with continuing their studies. Our donations help create an environment where children can pursue their education and build a brighter future with peace of mind.
By spending time with local staff and community members, we have gained a deeper understanding of the unique challenges each facility faces and the support they need most. We will continue to value these relationships and provide meaningful, long-term support that contributes to a better future for the children of Nepal.
we offer Fair Trade Certified felt products handmade in Nepal. During our annual visits to the country, we also tour the partner workshops where these products are made.
Every item is carefully handcrafted, one by one, by skilled artisans. Unlike mass-produced goods, these products reflect the warmth and individuality of traditional craftsmanship. Because each piece is made by hand, production is naturally limited, with quality always taking precedence over quantity.
Nepal also faces social challenges, including limited employment opportunities for women and unequal access to economic independence. At the workshop we visited, the vast majority of employees were women, and the workplace plays an important role in providing stable employment and income outside the home.
As they develop new skills and gain confidence through their work, these women are taking meaningful steps toward greater independence and financial security. Witnessing this firsthand reinforced our belief that such workplaces contribute not only to women’s empowerment but also to greater gender equality within the local community.
Our visit reaffirmed that Fair Trade is about far more than selling products. By supporting Fair Trade, we help sustain local communities, preserve traditional craftsmanship, and create opportunities for a better future.
